I am still praying someone out there will have any Kersey information that they can share. My Hickman Kersey lived next to Mrs. M.(Meredith?)� Kersey in the Lusby Mills area. He died in 1860.� He had married Sarah Davis in 1822 in Jessamine Co. His son was William Marion Kersey b. 1840 in Owen Co. William married Delia Jones in 1867.� Her parents were Thomas B Jones and Sarah Martin. Delia's grandparents were William Jones and Delia Cobb. William Kersey died 1875-- age 35 leaving a widow and 4 sons. Delia was a housekeeper for awhile and finally remarried a Sam Chandler.� When an argument over disciplining her sons arose, she had Mr Chandler leave home.� She then packed up her sons and left for Kansas. Mr Chandler filed for divorce by abandonment. The Jones, Martins and Cobbs also lived in the Lusby Mills area. Could Hickman have been a middle name?� Were there any other Kersey's in the area at that time?� Thanks. Vi
