Floyd, Let's talk. I am a direct descendant of the Owen county Wainscotts. I don't have your Moses but I bet we can tie in. Do you have the BH Wainscott Manuscript... I have the small version he put out. Now, there is some gentleman that I have talked with that has all of Beau H. Wainscott's work and he has more than I do. The Wainscott I am looking for is ATHA WAINSCOTT... Her father was a Ben or Benjamin Wainscott and her mother was a Scudder.... Let's do some Wainscotts !! :-) Johnny Mack Souder souderj@bellsouth.net ICQ #17300362 _________________ Souder/ Bennett/ Wainscott/ Wright/ Richardson Clifton/ Scudder/ Lancaster (Owen & Madison Co., Kentucky) _________________ McKinney/ Bailey/ Cassity/ Williams/ Wilson/ Owen/ Archer Hasty/ Carter/ Chastain/ Gill/ Murdock/ Richards/ Grant/ Ammon (Rowan, Bath, Morgan, Lincoln, Clark Co.'s., KY.<VA, <NC.) _________________ Proud user of the flawless "Family Origins 6.0", Genealogy software... ..."I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference" Robert Frost -----Original Message----- From: Jim Mason <cousin@jett-mason.com> To: KYOWEN-L@rootsweb.com <KYOWEN-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Monday, November 30, 1998 9:07 PM Subject: [KYOWEN-L] Wainscott's in Taylor Cemetery > >> -----Original Message----- >> From: Floyd Wainscott [mailto:wainscott@centuryinter.net] >> Sent: Monday, November 30, 1998 6:21 PM >> To: cousin@jett-mason.com >> Subject: cemetery >> >> >> Cousin Jim >> >> Happy to hear that the problem with the work crew at the cemetery has been >> happily resolved. >> >> You had mentioned that there were some Wainscott graves there. >> Do you have >> and information on that? >> >> One researcher wrote some years ago that tracing the various Wainscott >> families in Owen County was almost impossible inasmuch as there were so >> many Wainscotts there and that so many had the same given name (Richard, >> Robert, Isaac, John, Abraham, etc). >> >> I believe that an ancestor of mine, Moses S Wainscott was born in Owen >> County in 1809, but I need data on his parents and siblings.
