Barbara, BINGO.... I think we have something here.... I have three or four Nancy Clifton's... One Elizabeth Smith born abt. 1824 married a Mitchell Clifton in about 1844. They had a daughter named Nancy M. Clifton. Mitchell was married two times: Elizabeth Smith and I have that he also married a Nancy Clifton.... that sounds confusing I know... anyway.... Nancy Margaret Clifton married William Nelson Bennett..... does this click with anything you have???
