Our Charles/Easter Clifton on the 1880 census has a niece listed in his household Nancy Wainscott 22 (b abt 1858) In his will 1896 Charles gives to "adopted daughter Nancy Hays" she was married to J. T. Hays (his name is listed in the will) I am trying to figure out if the Nancy Wainscott and Nancy Hays are one and the same. Even if they are not I need to find out who Nancy Wainscott's parents were it may lead me to finally connecting Charles to his proper family group, he is one of my Clifton boys that I have not been able to positively place in our family also his marriage records show that Easter was a Clifton and I have not been able to place her with a family, they married 2/6/1845 he was 20 & she was 19 so I do not think she was married before, but nothing surprises me in genealogy.
