Their daughter, Sarah Griffin Owen and son David F. Owen, moved to Bastrop County, Texas in 1832. Sarah married Gen. Edward Burleson who later became Vice President of the Republic of Texas. In a biography about Gen. Burleson, it states that Sarah's family lived in Kentucky and the town Of Owensboro and numerous places in Kentucky were named after Sarah's family, the Owens of Kentucky. I.m looking for the name of David F. Owen's wife, he is my ggggg grandfather. I also believe that David F. had a brother, Ezekiel Owen. Any help on this family would be greatly appreciated.
