I am also missing a marriage for Zeptha May and Mary Kersey that occurred in Owen County around 1845-1848. They had no children and Zeptha May died before 1852. On May 13, 1852, Mary Kersey May married William Ballard in Owen County, Kentucky. They were married by the Rev. J. L. Ballard. I need information on William Ballard if anyone has anything on him. He and Mary Kersey May were both killed before 1856 and they had only one child my gggrandmother Sarah Catherine Ballard who went to Stamper's Mill and lived with her maternal grandparents Hickman Kersey and Sarah Davis Kersey. Sarah Catherine Ballard was born in 1854. She married Daniel C. Jones in Owen County, Kentucky in 1871. There was a family of Henry Ballard in Stamper's Mill on the 1850 census that was eight people away from Hickman Kersey. I can't connect William Ballard with this family.
