The JAMES tribe of Ohio County is prodigious to say the least. They have connections everywhere and getting them genealogically sorted out might be impossible. That said, I did a little additional digging around the tree roots of SAMUEL MOSBY JAMES 1844 - 1923 and came up with the following. My target actually was his second wife, LAURA ALICE KINCHELOE 1853 - 1921. Here's what I found. 1. SAMUEL MOSBY5 JAMES (MOSBY S.4, WILLIAM3, JOHN2, CHRISTOPHER1) was born 11 Aug 1844 in Ohio County, Kentucky, and died 12 Feb 1923 in Ohio County, Kentucky. He married (1) LAVINIA J. MOSELEY 1866 in Ohio County, Kentucky, daughter of ROBERT MOSELEY and AMANDA LAWTON. She was born 1848 in Ohio County, Kentucky, and died 1872 in Ohio County, Kentucky. He married (2) LAURA ALICE KINCHELOE 09 Sep 1876 in Ohio County, Kentucky, daughter of ELIAS KINCHELOE 1818 - 1873 and MARY BURKS b. Abt. 1820 KY. Laura Alice Kincheloe was born 08 Sep 1853 in Washington County, Kentucky, and died 01 May 1921 in Ohio County, Kentucky. Notes for SAMUEL MOSBY JAMES: Father is: Mosby S. James 1812 - 1874.
