Lake, according to death certificate, was b Feb 2, 1827 and died Sept 17, 1913. His father was listed as Abraham and mother was not listed. Per a family file found on Ancestry, his mother would have been Eleanor Sullivan. James was married to Mary Elizabeth Moseley. Per d/c she was born Dec 11, 1831 and died Nov 11, 1912. Her parents were Robert Moseley and Martha (Patsey) French. It appears that James Lake had a brother, Abraham Jr. that was married to Lucinda Smith. They were the parents of Margaret Lake Westerfield. If Willis Westerfield was the son of Charles F. and Margaret Lake Westerfield, he would be James Lake's great nephew. I haven't been able to find any proof that Willis was their son. In 1900 Margaret advises that she has 9 of 11 children living. Those children are Aptolia, John Margaret, Ora,Charles, Dona, Lottie, Veachel, and Hondy. By 1910 Aptolia has died and Margaret states on census that she has 8 of 11 children living. Both Charles and Margaret died in 1928. They had 7 living children per obit. Dona died in 1911. I found a daughter Mary Etta that was born 1873 and died 1874. This gives us 10 known children. So we have 1 unknown child and it could be Willis. There is an Indiana marriage index entry that has Willis D. Westerfield marrying Mollie Hogland Dec 19, 1895 in Spencer Co. I believe she is the same Mollie Westerfield that shows up in 1910 as a widow in Ohio Co. I'm sorry I couldn't prove who Willis' parents were.
