They were married by Silas Drake in 1823 and, yes, she was 28 years old. The old marriage records in Muhlenberg County for those years have been reduced to line items. The best I can remember they had been recopied because the original records had deteriorated so badly. I don't think the bonds survived. MY thinking about Hannah is that she was the d/o Simon Taylor by a first wife. Simon being the s/o Harrison Taylor and Margaret Jane Curlett?? I have corresponded with an Ann Bromquist who claims Simon had a dau Cynthia (went to Edgar Co IL [along with Simon by 1830] and married a James Knight). Simon Taylor lived in Ohio Co in 1810 and Muhlenberg in 1820. He had one daughter b. 1794-1804 (right age for Hannah) but Ann Blomquist claims this is Cynthia! Sometime when you're working on the Taylors, I'd be glad to share more on this. My husband and I are natives of Muhlenberg County. My Smiths came into the county ca. 1800 to Paradise which, as you know, was just across the river from Ohio County. My Leonard Stum had the first ferry across the river. Don's Lambs got to Muhlenberg about 1850. Jeremiah is his ancestor. We consider Muhlenberg County our home. We live in GA now! I have a lot of gen books on the county, wills, marriages thru ca. 1950, etc., if you need me to look anything up.
