Ohio County, KY marriages MEDCALF, THOMAS GARTH, ELIZABETH A. 4-19-1844 B/OCR 13 Should be Midkiff not Medcalf but I think what you are saying is that Elizabeth Adeline Garth married 1st to Thomas B. MIDKIFF (who is listed as a Thomas MEDCALF on Ohio County, KY marriages. Then she married James Stanislaus MEDCALF 7 Feb 1867, Ohio County, KY 1860: Adams Fork, Ohio, Kentucky HH 315 Elizabeth Midkiff 36 widow of farmer Ky William Midkiff 14 Ky Henry Midkiff 13 Ky Thomas Midkiff 11 Ky John Midkiff 7 Ky (John Robert Midkiff) Stephen Midkiff 5 Ky And I already assume that James Stanislaus MEDCALF did not marry Adeline JAMES. That would mean James Stanislaus MEDCALF married Elizabeth adeline GARTH, and her mother Hulda ROSS (GARTH) remarried John Barton HAYNES. But I need to locate John Barton HAYNES and Hulda ROSS (GARTH) on the 1850 Census with neighbors. This would explain the Ohio County, KY Marriages why it is claiming Adaline- wife of James Stanislaus MEDCALF was a Medcalf if she was the same person as Elizabeth Adeline GARTH who married Thomas Medcalf(Which should really be Thomas MIDKIFF)then her maiden name was GARTH.
