You filled in some blanks for me - and if you want, I can fill in a lot that you don't have here. I am into writing a chapter on each of the 14 children of James William Cox and Mary Elizabeth Mitchell (I'm finished with the parent's part). Have about 68 pages in progress on the 14 children, including source material from the Cox family Bible, obits on most of them, census, church, and cemetery records, newspaper articles, death certificates, some oral history, and from family group charts that Loretta (Crowder) Westerfield, (daughter of Cinderella (Cox) and Hannibal Thomas Crowder and wife of Alfred Westerfield), helped me compile in the 1970s. Many of the children of these 14 kids visited Loretta to give their family information, so I have a lot (not down to the present time necessarily) but at least through many of the 2nd cousins of a number of the 14 children. I would especially like to hear from descendants of: Susannah Miranda Cox 1862-1910, md. John Henry Stewart Delana Jane Cox 1866-1925, md John Wesley Duvall Mary Ellen Cox 1869-1962, 1) William Cornelius Stewart; md 2) Frank Crawford and 3) James Christian Martha Evelyn Cox 1877-1961, md 1) Birch Shields; md. 2) Rev. J. J. Willett; Emma Catherine Cox 1872-1928, md. Henry Cicero Crowder Sarah Mae Cox 1889-1935, md. George Clayton Hocker Tomorrow I'll send you the data for the wives of the six Cox boys. I have all the names of the children of Joseph Martin Mitchell and Susannah Caroline Acton, and of who their children married. Working on Judith (Benson) Mitchell's father, Chichester Benson, who died in Shelby County. Thanks again. Janice Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
