(1) Their daughter Elizabeth Ann Miles married William Henry Marshall. Wm. was her only husband. Wm. Marshall and Elizabeth had a daughter named Elizabeth Marshall. It was this daughter that mar. Frank Mathews. (2) Evan C[alhoun] Miles married Annie Clough, sister to Virginia Clough, the wife of his brother Geo. B Miles. Not sure which family histories you are referring to but they frequently contain a major error about the father of Evan Miles. Evan's parents were William Miles and Elizabeth Abbett of Franklin Co., KY. Wm. is often confused with another Wm. Miles in the Shelby/Franklin Co., KY area but census records, and DNA prove that they are two distinct lines.
