Below is a raw, unproven descendant link that I have from John Maddox and Elizabeth Sherwood to a John Maddox 1762 - 1876, who settled in Ohio County, Kentucky. Many are descendants of John Maddox 1762 - 1876. I always welcome corrections and updates. JOHN MADDOX was born Abt. 1700 in New Kent County, Virginia, and died 1748 in Goochland County, Virginia. He married ELIZABETH SHERWOOD Abt. 1718 in Essex County, Virginia. She was born Abt. 1702 in Virginia, and died 1773 in Amherst County, Virginia. Child of JOHN MADDOX and ELIZABETH SHERWOOD is: JOHN MADDOX b. Abt. 1725 in Virginia, and died Abt. 1789. He married MARY BOYD 1755 in Goochland County, Virginia. She was born 1733 in Virginia. Child of JOHN MADDOX and MARY BOYD is: JOHN MADDOX b. Abt. 1762 in Culpeper County, Virginia, and died 1876 in Ohio County, Kentucky. He married ELINOR ASTIN 1789 in Goochland County, Virginia. She was born 1765 in Pennsylvania. [This John Maddox was a soldier in the U.S. Revolutionary War (1775 - 1783)]. Children of JOHN MADDOX and ELINOR ASTIN are: i.
