It shows his place of birth as Delaware but in 1860 Warrick Co. his place of birth is KY. Here's the census: M 432 Roll 179 Page 161 image 8/10 line 6. Jobender? Sobender? I have a Clarissa born then. Still, if Braxton & Susanna didn't marry until 1843, then either: 1) this is a 2nd marriage for Braxton, OR 2) these are Braxton's younger sibs. Kim, In 1840 Scott Co. KY there is a Braxton Johnson age 20-30yr. In his household there are 1 male under 5, 2 males 5-10, 1 female under 5 and 1 female 20-30. This would match up with children Richard, John, Henry and Elizabeth along with another wife. I also checked in 1850 for a Braxton Johnson in Scott Co. and found no matches. Also in the Indiana death index there is a Susan Johnson age 59 that died in Anderson Township May 18, 1882.
