My great grandfather, James Elson Miller, died Aug. 13, 1918 in Ohio County and is buried in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. I wrote to the State Vital Statistics bureau rerquesting his death certifivate so i can determine who his parents were and where he was born, and was informed that there was no death certifivate on file for him. The State said that perhaps the funeral home had forgotten to file it. I wrote to Wm. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam to see if they had it. No luck. I asked my Dad and he said that there had been a Chinn Funeral Home that had probably handled the arrangements since this Chinn was a cousin to James's wife, Mary Rebecca Chinn. I have been unable to find anything about this funeral home, and Dad siad it had gone out of business several years ago. Can anyone help me or offer suggestions about how I can find what I'm looking for? Randie
