Hi All! I am new to the list and am looking for info on my gggg gf GIDEON DAVIS born ca 1769 in MD, and his family in Ohio Co. KY. I found Gideon on tax and census records from 1800 thru 1830. Didn't find him in the 1840 census and assume that he died between 1830 & 40. I know that my ggg gf, Philip davis, (one of Gideon's sons) went to MO at about age 15, later married Margaret Logan in MO, and then went to Jackson Co. IL where he died in 1841. Two of Gideon's daus, Harriet and Dorcas married Cox brothers in Ohio Co. and they also went to Jackson Co. I have other children listed as Wesley, Joseph, Bonaparte, and Alfred in addition to the ones mentioned above. Does anyone on the list have a copy of a will or probate documents for Gideon or can anyone tell me if the documents are available. Happy to exchange info with anyone researching this family. Joanne
