She moved back to KY in late life. died in 1954 KY Hopkinsvile, KY Buried at Tracy City Cem. with husband at Tracy City, Tn. Children born in Grundy Co., TN (1) Daisy b. 1882 married a Baptist Minister named ? Ladd Moved to KY. Daisy d. 1972 Hopkinsville, KY Daisy's children are (not for sure if they were born TN or KY) Elizabeth Ladd (never married) Charles Ladd Robert Ladd It is said that Robert was a college professor. (2)Dovie b. 1884 married ? Welch. Dovie d. 1982 Pembroke, KY (near Hopkinsville. Dovie lived in Grundy Co., TX, and Memphis, TN. Dovie did not have any children. (3) James H. b. abt. 1885 (4) Robert L. b. abt. 1887 (5) William C. b. abt. 1890 (6) Alferd B. b. abt. 1893 (7) Vina S. b. abt. 1896 (8) Charles B. b. about 1900 (9) Joseph b. about 1902 1900 Grundy Co. census shows all the above except for Charles and Joseph. 1910 Grundy Co., TN census has Mattie as a widow with Dovie, Charles B., and Joseph living with her.
