I can see by looking at the 1900 census that his name might be mistaken for Sean, but it is Lem. This family moved to Muhlenberg Co by 1920 and his name was written as Louis F, but the children are the same. Per his death certificate the name is Lemuel. He was born Dec 31, 1873 and died Aug 28, 1953. Son Alfred is the informant. It shows his parents as Isom and India Wells, but I haven't been able to confirm that. In 1910 Lem is living next door to Monroe Colyer and his wife India (maiden name Wells). In the Colyer home is Isham Wells shown as father inlaw. On the other side of Lem is widow Fannie Wells. It shows that she never had children. I wasn't able to track anything down on Frances Evans. He age jumps around a bit in the census records. In 1930 she said she was 50 yr and got married when she was 15. There may be something in the marriage file at Ohio Co. courthouse if she was under age. Hope this helps. Sarah & James are on both the 1850 Ohio Co.KY census and the 1860 Warrick Co.Indiana census. James is living with Sarah and her husband, George W. Wimsett & family on both census'. I'm glad you said that a Joseph Wright signed for her to marry George, because i've got James Wright's father as Joseph Wright and mother,Louisa Cockrum.(I believe another researcher may have given me these names.) James lived in Warrick Co.Ind the rest of his life. He married 4 times, the 3rd time being my grgrgrandmother, Mary Jane Baker. I have been at a brick wall on James for years til this morning when i found that following Geo.Wimsett led me to Ohio Co.KY. All i had known previously was that he was b. in Ky. At least now i know they go back to Nelson Co.KY, where i had found some living in 1840. Get in touch with me if you like and we'll compare no! tes. It only has: Henry Stewart Jan 19, 1856 Age 43 on it. There was a Warren C. Stewart that died 11-4-1916 who was only age 22 or so who died in Ohio County, KY. There is a W. C. There is a Warren Stewart b. 1846 Indiana in Iowa on the 1900 census There is a W C Stewart b. about 1845 Illinois on the 1870 Kansas census Wife and child also born IL, so could be false info. Also, if anyone goes missing around that time, I would check the Civil War records to see if they fought in the Civil War. Sorry I am not much help. I am betting the census records don't have his place of birth right. I have seen them change over and over again for some people.
