    3. I need a look up. Would someone help out? I am looking for a Lewis Miller & his wife Sally/Sarah who lived in Ohio Co. KY after 1860. They lived in Butler Co. KY prior to that. Does anyone have a 1870 Ohio Co. KY Census book where they could look this up? I found the other census records online and that was fantastic!! I need to know if the Lewis who lived in Butler Co. KY is the same one who lived in Ohio Co. KY. THe only way I know to do it is to compare the list of children. Thanks in advance for your time and trouble. Paula Eubanks

    1. [KYOHIO] New limits on Queries posted?
    2. Readers: The following is a nastygram "Jess"(Jlewis@cafes.net) (list owner?)sent to me for having annoyed his clicking finger and other sinsibilities,by my method of genealogical posting. It is followed with my comments to it, so scroll on. Please stop making the same "Johnson" query, over and over, on the Tn-Coffee (and other lists). It doesn't do much good to post it every week, it only makes people mad. I am getting complaints every day. Let it ride, for a few weeks. Thanks, Jess, The way I read part of this is: Youre getting complaints everyday about me posting every 2-3 weeks? Cant be! " There are always "Whiners"about having to click off "subjects" Why dont they start their own site that has only "subjects"of their interest. Dont they know that everything isnt going to interest them or you? I place queries every 2-3 weeks to the various counties and states, where my decendants lived from 1790-1900, I have received replies from new people each time I send these out.( & you receive complaints every day) Unless there are rules that restrict me from sending these same queries out every week,2 weeks or 3weeks, and that restrict the number of counties I am allowed to search ,as you attempt to do in your email to me,I will continue to search in the manner in shich I am accustomed. If there are rules set up by the chief adm.of rootsweb and Im not following them, then by all means I'll conform.Let me know where they are listed. "Cant we all just get along?" John Johnston

    3. I'm searching for the parents of this sibling group. Martha Ann Hansford b. about 1861. Married John S. Hall (TN?) Mary Emily Hansford b. about 1868. She did marry in Grundy Co., TN to Reynolds T.W. Myers 1888. Sallie Hansford b. about 1874 married Jess Thompson in TN. Jack went to TX Tom stayed in KY other siblings? Family lore has that after the death of their mother (father already deceased?) Mary E. and Sallie moved to Grundy Co., TN to live with sister Martha Ann This group has a tie to Somerset, Pulaski Co., Ky as Mary Emily Hansford Myers went to see "Aunt Lizzie Lane" in Somerset. We were led to believe they were born there however a death certificate on Mattie state birthplace as Hartsford, Ohio Co., KY. Parents info on certificate-father Hansford and mother unknown. And still yet a tie to Hopkinsville, Christian Co., KY as some of Mattie's children move there. Mattie move there also later in life and died April 1954. The children of Mary E. and Martha did not know anything about the grandparents. Census records show the grandparents as born KY. We aren't for sure if they were born in Ohio Co and than moved to Pulaski Co. when they were young or ......? Any help is greatly appreciated. 1. [KYOHIO] limit 9 mailings by AOL
    2. I tried to send a posting for Tom Johnston 1790+ in various states and counties he or his family has lived in from 1790-1886. I sent to 30 counties and all but 9 were rejected. When I called my carrier(AOL) they told me this is a new policy. Aparently this is what they have to do to prevent spammers from being as effective. They checked and verified my account and the past usage,to be sure I had no complaints of spamming. Since I had a clean record they allowed me to modify the amount of mail I send now, however I have to wait 24 hrs before I begin. When I send mail,I or anyone who sends more than 9 emails at once, has to place a disclaimer at the bottom of each. Well I dont know if theres a better way to curtail spammers, but its irritating that it has to restrict me. If there is no better way, then fine, its better than having to put up with spammers. The thing is..dont access sites that spammers hang out. Some areas are obvious, but there may be some that arent. I dont know. Ive never been spammed, except once when I went into a chat room. I never did that again. It was like walking into a bee nest or field of mosquitos.I havent been spammed for 2 years since Ive stayed out of certain sites that raised the liklihood of it. Well I guess I can get used to either disclaiming or just doing 9 at a time. I told them the county sites I write to for genealogy monitor this stuff, but It didnt matter to AOL.
