Just thought I'd mention this. I'm currently reading a book titled, "History of Cass County Missouri", by Allen Glenn. In it is a picture of Mrs. Mary Hargis which caught my eye. The story with it said the family is French and originally came from Virginia thru Kentucky. It's on page 448 if anyone is interested.
