Kris, I looked up Samuel Hamilton in the Nicholas Co. KY deed index and Book of Wills for 1800 - 1839 and found only the following notations: in 1821 property was transferred from Samuel Hamilton to William Potts (Deed is in Deed Book F page 21) a Sale Bill for the estate of Samuel Hamilton deceased was recorded 9 Feb 1827 - everything was purchased by William Hamilton.
