Morgan, 63, died at his home in Dorseyville, near Carlisle, Monday morning at 12:15 o'clock. He had been in failing heath several months. He was a native of Robertson county, the son of the late Lewis Morgan, and had lived in Carlisle for more than 20 years. Besides his wife, Mrs. Ada Brinegar Morgan, he is survived by one son, Brooks Morgan, of Lexington; two daughters, Mrs. Lodema Greene and Mrs. Clarence Screener, both of Dayton, O., and three grandsons. Funeral services were held at his home at 3:30 Wednesday afternoon, the Rev. E. L. Taylor of the Christian church and the Rev. C. A. Sweazy of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial followed in the Carlisle cemetery with Dougherty Lodge No. 65, F. and A. M., of which he was a member, in charge of the services at the grave. Mr. Morgan made his home in Owingsville for a good many years before moving to Carlisle. While here, he was engaged in several kinds of business. He first operated a barber shop, later a restaurant and just before the family moved to Carlisle he owned the local picture show. He was quite well known here and had many friends in the county who will regret to learn of his passing.
