Milton Bledsoe HOPKINS born Nicholas Co, KY - 1821, moved to Rush Co, IN ca 1827 after his father JOSEPH HOPKINS passed away - cannot find any information on Joseph. 2. I have located his Mother's gravesite in Ladoga, IN. She is buried with her grandson John O'Kane HOPKINS, his wife Eliza Martin and daughter Grace. The gravestone of Milton's Mother reads - 'Jane PETERS died August 15, 1865 - 86 years, 6 months, 14 days - Mother of Milton B. HOPKINS'. 3. I do not know how many times Jane (Milton's Mother) was married - no husband is buried with her unless it is an unmarked grave). 4. I do not know if Jane had another name such as Mary Jane or Martha Jane or Margaret Jane, etc. 5. The only information I have are articles that have been written about Milton calling his father by the name of Joseph. I have no records, so this could possibly have been a misprint. I would not have had his Mother's name had I not gone to Ladoga to find the gravesite of my husband's Grandfather, John O'Kane HOPKINS. Thank you so much for your offer of help.
