Well, since you brought the subject up: Men invented high heels to get even for women inventing neckties. It took a couple of million of years of men shaving before they figured they could even the playing field by having women shave their legs. I visited Germany in 1968. The women didn't shave and no one used deoderant. The Germans didn's seem to mind. An older man told me that is the way things were in the US before WWII. Love... Monte
