To one and all, I just returned from my latest research trip to Bourbon County, Kentucky. I stopped by the Cynthiana Museum, Cynthiana, Kentucky, and talked with Mr. Harold Slade, the museum proprietor. He still has 12 copies of the Perrin book. He is selling the book for $55.00 plus postage. His home phone number is: 606-234-5835. These are the last books remaining in the original order of 250 books. For those unfamiliar with the Perrin book, it is titled "The History of Bourbon, Scott, Harrison, and Nicholas Counties, Kentucky" and was originally written in 1882. As the title suggests, it covers the history and genealogy of these counties from the earliest period to 1881. It has literally hundreds of family biographical sketches. This version of the book is reduced and the print is quite small; however, it has a wonderful allname index that provides name and page number for every name in the book. If interested in purchasing the book, you need to call Mr. Slade at the above number or send a check payable to "Harold Slade" for $55.00 at the following address: Harold Slade Route 1, Box 490 Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031 -- Bob Francis 1920A Butner St. Ft.
