Hello everyone - Have been going around in circles for a long time - hope someone can help me! Have been to Ky. a few times with never enough time to do justice for researching. My earliest relative who was in Paris, Bourbon County early. I found copy of his will in Paris which was dated November 1810 and probated in December 1810 - In this will he mentions George, Thomas, Polly C., Peggy and Susan then at the last gives John $l.00. I've been told this was common practice when a child had already left home and been given his share of the inheritance. Any comments on that? My direct line comes down from Thomas Gorham Burnau - tho this name was spelled yet a different way - Bournaugh - in the margin of the book it was spelled Burnoe - I'm sure many of you have the same problem. Anyway I have never found where George and his wife, Francis are buried - I found Polly C who married a Col. Hamilton in the cemetery in Carlisle - there are some Burnaw's there - but I feel sure this is one and the same family. Let me hear from anyone who is researching any of these persons. Thanks, Virginia Burnau Callaway -----Original Message----- From: Jean Dalrymple <motherd@theriver.com> To: KYNICHOL-L@rootsweb.com <KYNICHOL-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Thursday, September 09, 1999 11:16 AM Subject: [KYNICHOL] FW: subscribe > > > >> Good afternoon and welcome to the Nicholas and the Robertson county lists. >> Please submit your query and introduce yourself to the list... >> >> I am Jeannie and I am the list mother.... >> >> Have a great day...
