Several years ago I corresponded with a descendant of the Hamilton family in Nicholas Co KY. She mentioned a Hamilton-Eward family who ended up in Decatur Co IN where my James Ray-Jane Morris family settled in the early 1820's. The history of Nicholas Co published by their Historical Society tells of a good many Nicholas Co families who ended up in Decatur Co IN. If Kris wants to email me I will give them this lady's name and address at Millersburg KY. Another possibility would be contacting the Nicholas Co Historical Society in Carlisle KY. They have a very active group of people working with their genealogy records. In fact they gave me quuite a bit of help. I have seen the name Ham/Hamm as well as Hamilton in Nicholas Co records.
