Vince, Glad I put out something useful. Nicholas County was formed from Bourbon and Mason Counties, taking its name on 18 Dec 1799. Nicholas officially became a county on 1 June 1800. I was citing from Nicholas County Kentucky Marraige Records 1799-1855.
