Dear Margaret, Unfortunately, I do not know a lot about Elizabeth, but here it goes. I've seen an IGI record that says her father was named Joseph, but I've never seen any other place that had her father's name, so I'm pretty skeptical about that. I have been given a list of her siblings, but it's also under suspicion since I don't know where it came from: Joseph, John, James, Sally, and Jane (no particular order). I have Elizabeth as being born 3 Mar 1798, but I don't know where, and she died in Portland Mills, IN, 20 Mar 1847 -- I have seen her grave. So Elizabeth could be related to your James, but since I don't know where that list of kids came from, I can't do much to help prove or disprove it at this point. I have not been able to do as much Kentucky research as I would like. :-( I don't know if that helps you or not. I guess we'll just have to keep looking.
