Margaret, I found something else that may connect us. As I said in my query, my Alexander Ramsay's first son Archibald eventually moved to Kentucky and died in Nicholas County in 1824. I just found a note from my source that says that Archibald was the matchmaker between William Burke Ramsay and Elizabeth McAnulty. She says that William B. visited Archibald "in a neighboring county" and that's where he met Elizabeth. Since Alexander and William B. lived in Fleming County, it may be that Elizabeth was from Nicholas County. Just thought you would like to know.
