    3. Bob, Where do I go to look in for Jeffereson County, Ky marriage, before 1800 Just had an idea to see if any of my Howards from Maryland show up earlier in that area. Is there a web pages that shows these early marriages? -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, March 18, 2005 8:33 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [KYNELSON-L] Would appreciate help Dear Sherrie (assume that is your name, although you did not sign), Either the date is wrong or the county is wrong. Nelson Co. did not exist until 1785, when it was formed out of Jefferson. I looked in the records of Nelson Co. marriages for 1785 to 1800, and there is no such marriage. There are very few marriages recorded in Jefferson Co. from 1780 (year of its formation) through 1785, and none of them is for the couple you are interested in. Bob Moore, Lexington
