Glad to, Mary. This is what the cem. book says on p. 147 of vol. 1: Merrifield, S.B., Dr. b. 4 Dec. 1788, d. 18 Aug. 1869 I think I see your problem. I decided I'd look at what Betty Crume had in her list done quite a few years ago. She has Dr. S.B. Merrifield, b. 27 July 1799, d. 1 June 1887 The cemetery book has those dates for Frances, Dr. M.'s wife. It appears to me that Crume does not list Frances, so perhaps she collapsed the dates. I'll be away for a while, but I'm thinking of going to Bardstown fairly soon. Keep reminding me and I'll go check the stone for myself. Or maybe there's somebody in Bloomfield who's on this list who can do it. Bob Moore
