I would still like to know if Nelson County recorded any school census like other counties. LaRue has some from 1894, 1899, 1914, etc. filled with valuable information on children, parents, guardians, date of birth, district, etc. Did Nelson county not take these school census?, and if so are they somewhere in book form where the content can be studied? Yes the ladies all do a wonderful job to which for one am very greatful.
