Hi Chris, I'm looking for my 4th ggrandfather David L. May. I went to Bardstown in september & searched, but I couldn't find him. Family info says he was born in Nelson or Hardin Co.'s abt 1802. I don't know anything more. He is my brickwall. I don't know the names of his parents or if he had any siblings. I do know he was married to Rebecca VanWinkle in 1825. They got married in Perry Co. Indiana. Their son James Deforest May is my line. I don't know what the L. stands for. There are a bunch of May's in the part of Ky, but I can't seem to make the connection with any of them. I would love to find his parents & country of origin. Chris, If you have time, I would love for you to look around for me. I kind of think it's hopeless, but I guess anything is possible!
