No, Kathie. Actually I was talking about the northeastern part of present-d ay Nelson Co. only. If one goes to the southern part, he finds mainly Catholics from the Md. counties of St. Mary's, Charles and Prince George's. I'm afraid I don't know enough about Larue Co. to make such generalizations there. The central part of Kentucky in general was settled early enough that one finds these patterns (some stronger, some weaker) in various parts of the area. I seem to recall that Madison Co., for instance has many, many families from the same general area in North Carolina that Daniel Boone came from, but it also has a good many families from such Va. counties and Culpeper and nearby Albemarle. I'm afraid you have to do a lot of researching of a lot of families in a given place to detect these patterns and be justified in your claims. Bob
