We always have a drawing for a homemade quilt (any homemade item by an elder member would be good). We have a gift for the oldest and the youngest. Come up with puzzeling facts about different family members - who shows horses, who cross-stitches, who likes to surf the internet for old tractors, who's birthday is ***, etc. - then whomever answers the most questions correctly gets a prize. The same could be done with baby pictures. I've printed out a family tree and posted it for all to see. Water balloon tosses for children (adults who want to do so too). Pinatas are a hit with the kids. Egg in spoon races. That's all I can think of now.
