According to Nelson Co Genealogists: The name is Thomas Sangester, Jr--which I believe is Lancaster ( as you suggested). Only the one listing for him in the book; other Lancasters but no Thomas/Thomas Jr. William Hynes m Rachel Carlisle 19 Feb 1788 Nelson Co; sur William Carlisle; m by Wm Taylor, Min ret. Some of the Carlisles were Catholic & are listed in the "St Clare Ch of Colesburg, Hardin Co, Ky" book by Dolores Kennedy. Don't begin to know if Wm Carlisle connects with Hardin Co Carlisles.
