To David Lee - Sorry I don't have anything on Sarah Sullivan Purcell with me. I will get back to you later. By memory I can tell you there was a Henry Younger in Bullitt County and Sarah and Charles must have run off to Indiana to get married in Indiana. Neither lived there. So we SUPPOSE that the most likely connection with this couple and the Purcells was with Thomas Purcell and wife Elenor Sullivan. A younger descendant told me that she said her middle name was Sullivan. Daniel Sullivan who would have been her uncle was very well known in his day though some might say as much infamous as famous. He was an intrepter for the Delware Indians, spy for the Americans, considered a traditor because he helped the Delware Indians, etc. Sorry that I couldn't be of more help. Henry Washington Younger (b 1810) & Beersheba Leighton Fristoe were the parents of 13/14 ch--one being Cole Younger (Thomas Cole?? Have never seen Thomas as being his 1st name). Beings the Youngers moved to Mo--there is a Younger Family Assoc. Have seen articles about the Youngers. Henry owned slaves in Bullitt Co. and Cole had a black half sister (documented if you care to check). Rumored for years that Cole was the f/o Myra Maybelle Shirley's dau Rosie "Pearl". Both denied this. Myra Maybelle (aka Belle Starr). Rosie reportidly d/o John Reed & Myra Maybelle. John & Myra had a son Ed, too, who was born in TX. Myra Maybelle m Sam Starr in Ok; lived in the Eufalia area (the same area as my Ramseys/Bouland/Bolins). Since the Ramseys lived in Ark & Ok- hard to know which!!! My daus' GGm Minnie Belle Ramsey Tague Bollin d Montrose, Effingham, IL (don't ask me how she got there from Ark!!!). Minnie Belle--named Belle for Belle Starr. Belle & Elizabeth Bouland/Bolin Ramsey were supposidly friends. The Ramsey Family were at the same barn raising when Belle shot Sam in the foot during an argument with him. Was told this years ago by Grandma Minnie but thought she was "telling a tall tale"!! Was very surprised when I read an article about Belle Starr in a magazine (IE: True West, Old West, West; Frontier Times but don't remember which) which related the incident as well as other things. Grandma Minnie could remember riding a pinto pony across the Indian Reservation in Ok & her grandfather couldn't speak a word of English. Her parents were married at Sugarloaf, Cherokee Nation, OK & are buried at Eufalia. Grandma Minnie's dau Lela Tague m Harry Yoder-- I married their son. Isn't genealogy great!!! You find out all kinds of things!!!
