Mary, Mary I recognize some of these people. Can you identify the ones I don't know. I can't seem to place all these Howard's and Cecil or Cissell's, and don't recognize these Clark's. Seeking information on James Richey, born 1796, in Ky.,who died 1824 in Scott Co In... James Richey, and Matilda were married in Nelson Co Ky., 11-25-1820. His widow, I believe, Matilda NUTTERFEE, appears in Owen Co In, where she married James Baldwin 5-7-1834. This is speculation. Can anyone perhaps verify it for me? Dick Carter [email protected]
Chris I have been looking for any info on a Mary V. NICHOLSON b.abt 1849 in or near Bardstown, KY. She married William W. CAMPBELL b. 27 Aug 1848 in Taylorsville, KY on 3 Nov 1870. The 1880 census shows that they were living in Taylorsville and they had three children by then. I have one other reference to WW CAMPBELL, that was a short line that appears his wife Mary may have died in sometime after 1881 as this reference pointed to her death, sometime before 1886 possibly. I have not been able to locate any information on this family that would indicate where they may have gone after the 1880 census. and that one note I have. I cannot locate where Mary CAMPBELL was laid to rest or where WW may have gone. I know this asking a lot, but if you see anything I would really appreciate an e-mail.. Thanks ahead, James C. Campbell [email protected]
Chris -- John Alsop Yarborough HUMPHREYS was born on 7 Jul 1802 at Spotsylvania County, Virginia. He married Martha MAY on 10 Nov 1831 at Nelson County, Kentucky. He married Rebecca Delph CARPENTER, daughter of Judge Samuel CARPENTER and Margaret Bowie SLAUGHTER, on 21 Aug 1840 at Nelson County, Kentucky. He died on 19 Mar 1873 at Bardstown, Nelson County, Kentucky, at age 70. He was buried on 20 Mar 1873 at Bardstown Cemetery, Bardstown, Nelson County, Kentucky, USA, 374920N 0852738W. This man is the nephew of my ancestor, Capt. Thomas Humphreys of Culpeper County, VA. As you can see, I know a lot about JAY Humpreys including his children, but not one detail about his father. I would even be thrilled to have JAY's will if it could be found. Please keep JAY Humphreys in mind as you delve thru the dusty stacks or traipse the cemeteries. I will see what I can find. The Dugan name is in the opposite end of the county from the Methodist cemetery that I'm speaking of . There are others that may have that name but I'll have to look and see what I can find. Will get back with you as soon as I can and if I don't respond in a couple of weeks, email me personably to remind me. Hi Bob, I was sorry to see that KY lost to FL today. Good luck in the seeding. We have tickets to attend the 1st round games in Charlotte, NC although we have no idea which teams will be there. Ginny Durham, NC

Has anyone ever seen a map of either Nelson, Hardin or LaRue Counties that have the names of the land owners and where they were located? (This map has a name - I can't think of it right now). I know there are some in some areas that have been done in the 1850-1870s. I was thinking of something earler. Kathie
