Betty, I believe your Harper family in Muhlenburg was a branch off my great grandfathers sister's family. She married a Harper in Muhlenberg and his father was Joel Harper married to a Hill. This could be fun as I dig deeper into the Underwood Family Tree there in Muhlenberg. My great grandfather's family is in Muhlenberg County in the 1860 census records. Then my great grandfather and his family left Muhlenberg by covered wagons in the 1860's and befrore my father died, he showed me where the wagons circled on arrival in Hamilton County, Illinois. There, the family shows up in the 1870 census. As a matter of fact I have three sisters buried on a hill overlooking the place where the wagons circled.
