    3. I have to share this bit with everyone because I think you will all enjoy this. The last couple of nights I have been doing some research for folks out there and as I have been thumbing thru some of the cemetary books, I keep coming across the name Browning. There's a bunch in Muhl Co. Anyway today at work, my Lead worker in my unit has the last name of Browning and I was telling her about do research in Kentucky but never mentioning that I keep seeing Browning. So she listens and then askes what part of Kentucky............so then I told her Muhlenberg Co and "by the way, there are tons of Browning stuff that keeps popping up." Well, she informs me that her father-in-law was just getting started in his Browning genealogy and is really excited and that he was from Kentucky. I asked what town.........."Owensboro". I told my staff member to have him call me because chances are, the family was in Muhl Co first. Should be interesting. I am looking forward to helping him. Also, in 1998, while having x-rays at a hospital near San Francisco, my x-ray tech had the cutest little ol Southern accent.........so I asked her where she was from, "Kentucky".............oh, what part?............."Western".........oh, what county?......."Davies"..........oh, what town?.......now she looked at me and asked, "why?".........so I told her that my grandparents were from Muhlenberg Co and that I was just wondering..............so she said "Owensboro" and so I told her that I had cousins in Island, Sacramento........and Central City....bla bla bla............wellll............she was actually raised in Calhoun but was bussed and went to high school in Central City.............Lets' see..........she had a huge crush on one of my Calvert cousins from Island, she used to work for another cousin who was Supt of schools in McLean Co.........and she used to rollerskate in the roller skating rink in Sacramento that was owned and operated my yet another cousin and she justttt loved my cousin, Miss Leona..................needless to say, we had a great time sharing...........so my theory is: always ask questions. You jusssst never know. 3. Thanks for sharing that story, Cheryl. I have one too. It is indeed a small world. Around 1986 while I was visiting my brother in Carpinteria, California, (near Santa Barbara), he pointed to a neighbor of his and said, "Sis, you just have to meet that lady next door. She reminds me so much of Mother." So he and I walked out and moseyed over to where the lady was watering her flowers. My brother then greeted her with "Good morning, Mary, I'd like you to meet my sister." As soon as she spoke, I got that warm fuzzy feeling because she sounded just like Mom. It was then that I had to ask her, "Where do you come from, Mary?." She replied, "Oh, you probably never heard of it, but I was born in Paradise, Kentucky!" "NO KIDDING!" I said, "Muhlenberg County?" we asked. And she said, "YES!" "So was our mother!", we told her. Mary then said, "My name is really "Minnie." "That is also our mother's name!" we told her. We just had to learn more about this lovely lady, so we talked. Come to find out, her maiden name was VAUGHT, and she is a cousin on our FATHER'S side! So what do you think of that? As Cheryl said, you just never know.
