William Bell's son, Josiah Bell through his daughter Mary Ann Bell who married Joseph McCown to his son James' daughter, Lillie McCown married my Samuel Bard Larkins. His son, Erwin Larkins was my grandfather. My how time flies, Your Cousin, Patrick Larkins
Dear Muhlenberg Listers! The "who-is-this-Mary J. Burton-born-1851-KY?" mystery continues! 1) Mary JARVIS and Thomas BURTON/BURDEN/BURTAN m'd <1866> ?KY. There's Mary Jarvis (April 1851 Muhlenberg Co. KY-died ?1922 Jefferson Co. KY). 2) Mary J. BURTON/BURDEN/BURTAN and Unknown CALBERT married between 1892-1900. Have not found a marriage to fit Mary (?)Jarvis (April 1851 KY--?) and Thomas BURTON (1848 KY-?). Their first child born ca 1866-7. "A" Thomas Burton listed in the 1870 Grayson Co. KY Census in Y.T. Pryor's HH along with several men also listed as "railroad laborers." Not sure this is the same Thomas Burton who was m'd to Mary Jarvis, d/o Wiley & Martha F. Adkins JARVIS, MUHLENBERG CO. KY. AND, just found the "widow" Mary J. CALBERT listed in the 1900 Cromwell, Ohio Co. KY, Census with younger of her (their) BURTON children (Mary J. Burton, James "C"/Searcy Burton b1887 and Gay R. Burton b1892). (Have James S. Burton's DC; he died after 1955 KY---father Thomas Burton bKY and mother Mary bKY.) Mary & Thomas Burton's last child born ca 1892; Mary m'd unknown CALBERT between 1892 and 1900. There's a Mary J. CALBERT, 71, died 25 May 1922 Jefferson Co. KY. listed on the KY Death Index. Thanks for looking for these marriages and for any other info! charlotte
