Bobby Davis has done some family research and the area that they lived in, Stringtown. Stringtown was stripped and no longer exists. He published a book, titled "Stringtown Reunion". I'm not certain how much is Davis family and how much is locational. He still lives in Muhlenberg County and can probably be found in the phone book. William Davis born about 1870, married Fredonia Fowler born in 1874, daughter of James Edward Fowler and Sarah P. T. Young. James died in Christian County. 4. William H. Davis born abouta 1850 married Delila Beshears born about 1856, daughter of Henry and Dorcus Parker Beshears. 5. William L. Davis born 1823 Hopkins County, married Rosey Jane Timmons born 1827 Hopkins County, daughter of Feilding and Mary Dumville Timmons. William P. Davis born about 1885 married Almish Earle born about 1890 and finally 6. William Rucker Davis born about 1875 married Rosella Florence Stevens born about 1880.
