thanks so much, Joyce! will check with my library to see if they can help locate one. what years are included in this book? my Clark family has many coal miners. am reading any and everything that mentions coal mining, company store, etc... trying to find as much info as possible. i have a "brickwall" John B. Clark (1848VA-1901KY). John listed as coal miner in two Rockcastle Co. KY census. John married Amelia Burton/Burden 1872 in Ohio Co. KY. this is the first sighting of John in KY. also, hoping to find where my great-aunt Ida B. Clark (Luthur) Black was living in Muhlenberg Co. KY when she gave birth to James T. Black 10/20/1912 and Naomi Black 8/28/1914. Both births are listed in Muhlenberg Co. KY. Ida and Luthur Black left Bell Co. KY after 1910 and the next time i find them, ca1920, they are in Indiana and Luthur is once again a coal miner. am hoping to find them living with a relative in Muhlenberg. the KY CD for births just has the mother's maiden name and the baby's county of birth. any help or advice is very much appreciated! charlotte JycMThomas@aol.com wrote: It was written by Paul Camplin who was a member of the Filson Club, KY Historical Society and Past Pres of the Muhlenberg Co Art & Historical Society. Published in 1984 by Caney Station Books; Route 1, Box 1; Greenville KY 42345. I live in Ohio and bought my copy on ebay in the last couple years. I'm pretty sure the library in Greenville would have a copy. It's a really nice book. It goes town by town and gives a history of the town and names a lot of the people who lived in the towns. It also has lots of pictures. We actually found my husband's aunt and uncle (different towns - not married to each other) in the photos. Hope this helps!
