    3. Charlotte, Yes .. that is my John Randolph, son of John and Anne. My theory on Elizabeth Bland? is that if she is actually a Bland, she is a niece of John Bland of Nelson Co. He left a bequest to niece Nancy, an orphan of his brother. He does not name the brother. Nancy and Elizabeth could be sisters, both being nieces of John. He wouldn't have left anything to Elizabeth because she was already married to a fairly wealthy man. What is so confusing is that the Turkey Island Randolphs also married Blands, they just seem to fit together in some way. Who knows? I read somewhere that a William Randolph, b. 1670 in England, was the father of John Randolph Sr., and was brought here by William of Turkey Island. It implied that they were related in some way. Of course I have no proof that any of these theories have any validity. Thanks for the info. OH .. let me make one correction in your info below. Margaret Randolph, b. Oct. 20, 1784 m. James Nicholls (not Elizabeth) ... Prudence, who married Jesse Reno was Elizabeth Prudence. Nice to meet another Prince William Randolph Cousin !
