Dear friends, I have finished entering data for Muhlenberg County births for the years 1874, 1875, 1876 and 1878. (No records are available to me for 1877.) Info for each year is in its own Word file and includes name of child born, sex, race, and birth date. It will be months before the index for the whole state is available, but I will be glad to send these Muhlenberg County documents now to anyone who would like to have them. Please tell me which year(s) interest you, and I'll respond by e-mail. I have not alphabetized the names (this step will be done by another volunteer working on the indexing project), but you can easily do a word search to locate the surname you're looking for. If you see a familiar name on the list and want more info, let me know. I can look on the full printout and send you the names of the parents and their places of birth. Dear Fran, I would like a copy of each year you have of the Muhlenberg County records. I am researching a lot of different families that settled early on in Muhlenberg County. They are Rhoads, Jackson, Bell, Robertson, Bradley, Tipton, McKinney, Wilson, Jenkins, etc. As a result, I wind up researching allied lines of my families. I grew up on the original Jackson farm near Drakesboro and have done extensive research from that area, including the Cundiff-Jackson connection of Don Casbier. I appreciate all the hard work you are doing with the Muhlenberg County records and know how frustrating it can be to read some of those old records. I am currently working on a couple of the Crittenden County, KY census records. I live in Marion, KY. Thank you. Fran, Thanks so much for your work and for offers to share. I would like to have a copy of all years, if that is not to much to ask. Thank you so much. I am new to this site but am working on names of Weatherford, Rowe, Durham, Tooley, McDougall and Russell. These last two names, the families came from Scotland to Paradise. Right now I am really into William F. Weatherford. If anyone has any info to share, I would like to trade what I do have. Same on Russell's that came from Scotland. djlanier@vci.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "Fran Salyers" <fallingoaks@mac.com> To: <KYMUHLEN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, April 11, 2006 2:17 PM Subject: [KYMUHLEN] Birth Index 1874-78 is Complete > > Dear friends, > I have finished entering data for Muhlenberg County births for the years > 1874, 1875, 1876 and 1878. Fran, this is wonderful of you to make this offer. I am interested too....in all the years. Some of my ancestry goes back a long way in Muhlenberg County and there should be births (the ones I am aware of) in at least three of the four years. Thank you. Dear Fran, I also would love to have a copy of the records you are talking about, if it's not too much trouble. I didn't know if I should send you my email address or what. Thank you very much.
