I am a descendant of JOHN DURALL OR DURRELL. We find his family in Onslow County in the 1770-80's, revolutionary war era. He had a son named DAVID DURALL, b. in North Carolina who married an ELIZABETH WATKINS BARFIELD. The Durall and Barfields are found in Onslow, Duplin (1790), Cumberland counties in North Carolina and then finally Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. My oldest found Durall ancestor, John Durall, died there in 1808. The WATKINS, BARFIELD, DURALL group are always found moving in the same areas and time spans. I believe that David may be the son of a first wife for John. Has anyone any information on a Christen Hopkins in Onslow County NC? The wife we have record of is Martha, but the time span of all his children is 27 years. Hope this information is of interest to you. -----Original Message----- From: cheryl cessna [mailto:dutchgalncal11@comcast.net] Sent: Tuesday, April 04, 2006 12:24 AM To: KYMUHLEN-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [KYMUHLEN] kimmel...morris Can I jump in here...................one of my gr gr gr grandmothers was named Cinderilla Wilkins from No Carolina and she was married to either my Anthony or Barfield relatives who moved into Muhl Co very early on. I just came across this info last year but have done no research on this. However, Cinderilla still stands out as one of those unique names. She was a Wilkins..................think this is on my Barfield side..............she married a Barfield side and they were intermarried with the Reno's..........Cinderilla had a daughter named Catherine Barfield, nickname was Kitsey................so if anyone runs across those names, let me know.
