    3. Ann, Jesse Lee first appeared in Muhlenberg Co. census in 1840 - age 50-60. In home are: males: 1 - 10/15, 1 - 16/20, 1 - 20/30, 1- 50/60 females: 1- under 5, 1 - 16/20, 1 - 20/30, 1 - 50/60 He still appears in 1860 census, taken June 6, 1860. Dist. 1, Greenville Post Office. pg. 5, HH# 33 Jesse Lee, 85 farmer $500. $500. N.C. Hetta Lee, 75 domestic N.C. James W. Jarvis, 10 Ky (hence he died after June 6, 1860) Assumption that he came between 1830 & 1840, since he did not appear there in 1830. Checking Jesse Lee in N.C. prior to this, best bet might be to start with New Hanover, N.C. Age wise, looks like closest bet in 1830. But we all know how the age thing goes. From book, Muhlenberg County, Ky Abstracts of Wills and Administrations: pg 68 "JESSE LEE, will of Muhlenberg County, Kentucky dated December 2, 1858. To wife Hetty and at her death or remarriage, property is to go to children, unnamed. William W. Martin named Executor. Witnesses: C. C. Martin and F. J. Martin. Proven Muhlenberg County Court March 1861. Will Book III, page 195. (hence must have died Feb. or March 1861) You can get copy of complete Will by contacting Muhlenberg Co. Clerk of Court Office in Greenville by giving name, & Will Book & Pg #. 3. Dear friends, I've been pushing "send" before paying attention to the "to" line in some of my recent e-mails. In my enthusiasm to get the Muhlenberg birth info out to folks who request it, I've sent to the whole list by mistake, in some cases. Please excuse the flurry of e-mails. I'll pay more attention from now on! ;-) Fran Salyers Frankfort, Kentucky Researching these direct ancestors with Muhlenberg County ties: Wilkins, Cardwell, Roark, Lewis, Jarvis, Millard, Ingram, Diver, Nelson, Davis, Griffith

    3. Fran, In one of your earlier post you mentioned posting on the Muhlenberg site. I think that would be a good idea if it's not too much trouble. I tried to open the test doc for 1884 I think it was but I couldn't open it. Thanks for all your work and your generous spirit.
