Hi Dorann, Thanks so much for the information on Abe Wilcox of Muhlenberg Co., KY. I hadn't ever seen the information where they sold the Pond River land. That was indeed where they lived. I can't say if they bought another parcel. It is a puzzle that Mary (Polly) had a big yard sale in 1808 and yes, I agree that she was getting ready to travel. Like you said, Abe must have stayed there for awhile with the kids. Maybe she came back and they made up for a while. But Abe joined the militia in Scott County, KY and participated in the War of 1812 for which he later got bounty land. He moved on to Missouri about 1813/14 as best we can tell. The kids apparently were left with some relation or maybe Polly took them. If I could ever find those kids names, I might be able to figure out who his parents were.
