    3. Gracie Pearl Stringer 92, of Gainesville, Virginia; formerly of McLean County. Died Saturday July 23, 2005 at the Birmingham Green Nursing Home in Manassas, Virginia. Gracie Pearl Stewart was born January 19, 1913 in Muhlenberg County to the late Garnett and Lizzie Majors Stewart and was later married to John Thurman Stringer in 1939. Gracie Pearl was a retired sales clerk from the former Atlantic Mills Department Store in Detroit and was a member of the Baptist Faith. Her husband, John Stringer died February 14, 1967. Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Hilda and Brad Koch of Franklin, North Carolina. Lila and Perry Knight of Gainesville, Virginia. Five grandchildren and their spouses, Sabrina Skipperdene; Shannon and Rusty Wiggins; Wade and Angela Knight; Wes and Lori Knight; and Kera and Steve Carte. And six great grandchildren, John Skipperdene; Christopher Skipperdene; Sydney Skipperdene; Kyle Scholar; Marinna Knight; and Kyla Carte. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Worthington Chapel Cemetery in McLean County with the Rev. Ken Vincent officiating. Friends may visit with the Stringer Family from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday and from 8:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. The Stringer Family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Worthington Chapel Cemetery Fund; C/O Mrs. Grace Miller; 2393 U.S. Highway 431; Island, Kentucky 42350. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
